From technical glitches to cozy blankets

Dear wanderers between the worlds,

Yesterday was the second reading. And I'm sitting here with a smile that just won't go away.

The week before was still tough. I was in poor health, tired, that annoying kind of exhaustion that also slows you down mentally. But yesterday? Yesterday went well. The technology played along (for the most part anyway), and I quickly realized: you weren't just there - you were really there.

More of you than the first time. That alone would have been enough to make me happy. But then came the details that completely blew me away.

You've picked up some wine. Picked out cozy blankets. Some streamed the reading on TV and invited friends over. Others made themselves comfortable with a hot water bottle. You turned my little reading into a real evening. An event. That's... wow. It does something to you.

After the reading came the messages. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, emails. Every single one touched me more than I would like to admit. Not just "it was nice" or "thank you", but real thoughts. How the story resonated with you. What moved you. Some even told me what their evening was like.

And then there were those who couldn't make it, but got in touch anyway. Personal rejections. "I'll be there next time." That felt honest, not just polite.

I can't really put it into words. Something is emerging. A small group of people who really like this story. Who support me. Who want to be there when I continue. It's a feeling that I don't have the right words for.

You turn writing into something else. Something in common.

Now it's time for part 3. I'm still thinking about the dates: June 3 or 6, Wednesday or Friday. And the time - do we stick to 8pm or would 9pm be better for more of you? Weekly or every two weeks?

But above all, I'm curious about your feedback. What did you like most about the last reading? Where do you think the story is going? Do you have any questions or requests for the next round? Should I tell you more about the characters or would you prefer no spoilers?

Just write to me. I look forward to every thought.

Thank you for doing this with me. Honestly. You guys are great. Max

P.S.: Who would have thought that my biggest worry would be whether 8 or 9 p.m. is better so that more people can listen with a cuddly blanket? Life is pretty crazy.
