I came into contact with Luna and Alex from LAW Gin through a recommendation from my friend GinTimeWithJane. A first phone call with Luna was enough, and I promptly received an invitation to travel to Ibiza and get to know their distillery, which works with an old Alambique. I still have fond memories of that trip and my time in Ibiza, even though it was two years ago. I spent two weeks exploring the island with them, discovering secret beach bars and hidden spots that you would never find as an ordinary tourist.

Luna and Alex guided me through their world with so much warmth and enthusiasm that I still remember it as if it were yesterday. We recorded a wonderful interview and their stories touched me deeply. These two wonderful people not only won me over as friends, but also showed me a new perspective on gin making. The LAW Gin project, which they created with their partners Wolfgang and Dirk, is their declaration of love for Ibiza. This gin is not just a spirit, but an expression of their deep connection to the island and their passion for distilling.

LAW Gin was born out of a friendship project and has developed into an award-winning distillate that captures the essence of Ibiza. The use of local botanicals such as Phoenician juniper and prickly pears gives the gin its unique flavor. In the Arabian Alambic, a traditional distillery, LAW is distilled in a way that has been handed down for centuries. "We really do distil like in the Middle Ages," Alexander explained to me with a proud smile.

One of the most unforgettable experiences on Ibiza was the day we spent in a 150-year-old citrus grove. Luna and Alex took me to pick oranges and lemons in the middle of the island. The old farmer, whose family has owned this wonderful plantation for generations, told us stories from the past. After the work was done, we all sat together and enjoyed freshly prepared pulpo - a culinary highlight and a moment that is deeply engraved in my heart.

The story of Luna, Alex, Wolfgang and Dirk is more than inspiring. They left Germany to realize their dream on Ibiza and were captivated by the magic of the island. Their gin captivates with a complex blend of citrus aromas and subtle juniper notes, accompanied by a slight spiciness. Every sip of LAW Gin transports you to the Mediterranean landscape of Ibiza and lets you feel the passion that goes into every bottle.

The path from private experiment to commercial success was not easy, but the four friends remained true to their vision. Despite bureaucratic hurdles and technical challenges, they never lost their love for the product and the island. Today, LAW is one of the best gins in Spain and has won numerous international awards.
